Fall Sports “Hannah Burandt Scholar-Athlete Award” Winners

The Hannah Burandt Redmen Scholar-Athlete Award  Hannah Burandt is a 2005 graduate of PSH.  She was standout in swimming for the Redmen where she won 6 individual conference championships and was selected Conference Most Valuable Swimmer 3 times.  She qualified for the OHSAA State meet 6 times and placed 3 times; including a state runner-up

The Dr. Arnold “Arnie” Chonko Redmen Scholar-Athlete Award Dr. Arnie Chonko is a 1961 graduate of PSH. He was a three sport stand-out for the Redmen and played both baseball and football at the Ohio State University. Throwback Thursday: PSH Athletic Hall of Famer Ron Mottl- Class of ’52- has a portion of York Rd. re-named in his honor earlier this month

You may have heard  that the portion of York Road in front of Cuyahoga Community College has recently been re-named “Ron Mottl Avenue” to honor 1952 Parma High graduate and former US congressman Ron Mottl.  Amongst Mottl’s many accomplishments over his long career was his tireless work in the creation of the Tri-C baseball field
