Parma Girls Basketball fell to Buckeye High school 58-45 in a GLC Matchup on Wednesday Night. Parma got off to a good start leading the Bucks 15-14 after one quarter behind two three pointers by DeJesus (Sr. Guard) and another three by J. Basinger (Sr. Guard). Parma went into halftime tied with the Bucks at 27 a piece behind a big second quarter from Holmes (So. Center) who scored 9 of her 14 points in the second frame. A big second half from Buckeye which saw them scoring 31 points coupled with some defensive breakdowns from Parma lead to a final score of 58-45 in favor of the Bucks.
Lea Holmes (So. Center) lead the way for Parma with a monster triple double performance that saw her score 14 points, bring in 14 rebounds, and block 10 Buckeye shots!
Amaris DeJesus knocked down 4 triples on the night which was enough for her to tie the school record for career three pointers made with a total of 87 in her career. She tied 2016 graduate Erin Bukach. Amaris will look to break the record in our conference matchup vs. Bay this Saturday.

JV fell to Buckeye 39-10 and freshmen fell to Buckeye in a close battle 27-26.
Parma will be back in action this Saturday. Freshmen take on Mayfield at 9:00AM and JV and Varsity will host conference foe Bay at 10:30AM/12:00PM.
