The Parma Girls Basketball Team (0-1) opened their season on Monday, November 26, 2018 against non-conference opponent Fairview (2-0). Tied at 46 at the end of regulation, the game needed an overtime period to be decided. The Redmen came out with offensive fire power scoring 19 points in the first quarter. Fairview made big shots of their own and cut the lead to 27-29 Parma at the half. Both teams locked in on the defensive end of the floor in the second half and the score was tied at 46 a piece at the end of regulation. Fairview’s Julia Costas had a big overtime period scoring 5 points and getting a game winning block to seal the game.

Leading the way for the Redmen in scoring was Mary Chulock, Elise Balcer, and Amaris DeJesus with 10 points each, Taylor Rericha added 9 points and Shannon Chamberlin and Grace Jacobs chipped in 6 points and 4 points respectively.

The Redmen JV team (1-0) opened up their season with a 29-17 point win over Fairview. Madison Nyiran led the way with 7 points, and Ellie Madison chipped in 6 points.

The Redmen will square off with non-conference opponent Bedford on Wednesday, November 28, 2019. The JV game will tip-off at 6PM with Varsity to follow around 7:30PM.
